Open app and click the rightmost icon on the bottom bar. Scroll down to show "settings" (below "near by") - Click the heart shaped icon on bottom bar and pick the theme you want to apply.

You can change line #34 in /opt/forum-tmo/qml/forum/ThreadListView.qml to always have last post shown first by default and avoid this issue.

Do you've /etc/apt/sources.list (not sources.list.d) file ?. If yes, post the contents.

The only other thing you can check is if you've any tweaks etc. installed such as live calendar icon that may be conflicting with the update process.

Do you get any errors when you run these...

Try clearing apt cache,

Devel-su
rm /var/cache/apt/archives/*.deb

You can also try disabling developer mode

There is no desktop icon for this app. This a plugin to enable gtalk video call from within phone/contacts app. Just select an online contact and pick video call option. Simple as that.

For 720p playback bottleneck is not the 2D/3D graphics (GPU) but rather the decoding on DSP/CPU. The display has to just render at 480p resolution and it should be capable to handle frame rates much...
