This is why you should use "setxkbmap" after you edit the file to see if there are any errors, if there are errors you just revert the changes. Plus you don't need to reboot after each change.

Then atleast one of them is trying to go online all the time and causing this window. I suggest you try disabling/removing them one by one until you find which one is causing it. Its usually the ones...

But I think that some of the article doesn't meet the wiki standards, in example you write in a sentence "I didn't nailed it down." where in wiki there shouldn't be...
