Nope - it's for Nokia Software Updater (NSU). Flasher loads firmware images from wherever you tell it to. :)

Production External is what NSU uses to download firmware images; Nokia Care Suite is similar but has more files, including the eMMC content images.

You can indeed use NAVIFIRM to pre-download the...

Yes, from 1.0 to 1.1, but I got a message saying device not found or something like that and never figured it out.

Phoenix is pretty easy, download everything via navifirm. After phoenix installs...

Did it with Phoenix from 1.0 to 1.1 and now from 1.1 to 1.2, never had any problems whatsoever.

NSU: all integrated apps will be up to date (latest ones, as they are included in that big 1 Gb package), but all other apps, you have to download again ... and it does NOT affect your data either,...
