Interesting, then Markkyboy's patch to keep the LPM screen on forever, as on the N9, would probably be very useful.

Beware though, newer OPX ships with a bootloader which wont allow installing SFOS (may BRICK your device)!
Be sure which version you get of the device!

oh, do you also know how to determine if one OPX has the "old" or "new" bootloader?

this device is perfect. if only it had aliendalvik support, but i'm glad that almost everything works fine on the OPX with SFOS

Well, not that easy. However maybe it is possible to downgrade bootloader :)

guess what i own that device now and it was possible and necessary. i even managed to dualboot with paranoid android, but unfortunately you only can use android versions for the old bootloader

It is possible, yes, if you use an Android version compatible with old bootloader.
BTW, if you need to downgrade new bootloader to old (needed by SailfishOS), a guide is here

Btw despite the Oled screen that will still destroy your battery life as it will stop the phone from sleeping.

I do not agree.
Even after 7 years of active use, the battery is still okay on my N9...

I'm not talking about the N9, that has a proper low power mode so it can keep the screen on and let the CPU sleep.

I'm talking about sailfish, which doesn't have a proper low power mode.

Jolla should do it? Or do you disagree? Are new emojis more important?

Why did I bring up this old product? Because it is still better than the current J+...

Sailfish is usable but need fresh powerful device...

How do you know if someone is an N9 owner?

Don't worry they'll tell you :D

Yeah. Every Samsung phone with Oled will die "soon"... That's why they are selling so much...
