That may actually be due to the company firewall. I tried HTTP without S and got blocked "in accordance with company policy".)

I'm not stupid, I will not hand over my e-mail address, nor will I use advertising companies for my communication. So, where's the RSS/Atom feed?

The registered emails will only be used for updates on the Fx.
Also, we're Living in 2019, I can't remember any other big company uses RSS for updates ;)

What "other" big company? This clearly is a niche market.

It’s not Ready yet :D

Don’t worry. It will pop up right here if it will be a working phone.

Blackfriday release? That is pretty soon.

Perhaps because my company deemed it a phishing website? Who knows?

I tried from home too and my tablet said, "couldn't establish a secure connection".
As far as I am concerned, that's it. I made the effort. It did not work. Tata for now.

Actually, I agree with Mr Scam above. If there is something useful to announce, it will be announced here.

EDIT:
I tried one more time from another device and finally got there. I might as well not have bothered. A website greeting you with a pointless animation is a warning red light already. After that, another big warning about cookies. Why does a website like that need cookies at all? That's another warning. And then, if you are stupid enough to ignore all that and proceed, all you get is a sing up page. Nothing else. Not even a teaser of what you are signing up to. Only, "a phone you thought you couldn't have". Sorry, but that's absolutely not enough. Try better next time.

I may be due to Brexit or that Chrome don’t trust symantec certificate or any other reason.

Pichlo, At this point, if it’s a scam included it’s only becouse Jolla is involed somwhow. They still don’t fully managed to refund backers and supporters. Pretty much like UK to EU. Just pay the Bill and leave.

Jolla has nothing to do with this....

May I ask: why isnt Chen here?

Ok, so what OS does it use? If it's Android, I'm not even interested enough to subscribe to an RSS feed.

what else? It's not that I want one also but if we want anything else from Chen then this must have some commercial success. And that can only happen with android. :(

All I can say for now:
- It will ship with Android 9 by default.
- Bootloader unlockable, so you can flash other OS's on it.
Yes, Sailfish OS and even Maemo Leste should be possible.
- And all drivers will be open!
(Only the Android blobs, should rely on libhybris.)

Perfect!
Should hope jolla will give tablet backers refund and free lisence if anyone wants that.

Also hope jolla give chen some money since he is trying(might change to doing) what jolla couldn’t. But that seems to the problem with jolla. Everyone else must put in time, money, skill to help jolla. Should be the other way around too.

MaemoL looks cool on a new QWERTY! :D

Hey HtheB,

Where did you get this information from? I searched around, but couldn't find anything about this device...

xman 2018-11-17 18:05

Re: Are you Ready? Fx HW Keyboard Phone

I know the ReadyFx site is lackluster and who wants to just share info to some site. But I have to say that I've gotten more info from a source, and I'm actually excited about this project. It seems it may be the closest to the n950 we may get. Plus all the stuff that was posted earlier.

So this may be finally the product that I can finally replace my n900 with ... well lacking the pen.

So I would say keep asking question but give it the benefit of doubt that we gave the gemini. We need to support these types of project at least in until they prove a disappointment.

Image running dual boot sailfish and maemoL on this!!!

No one else is trying to make devices like this. So currently we have gemini, pyra and what black berry.

I'm not saying believe whatever someone says, and we've been let down many time, but I'd rather live life with glass half full rather then half empty ... :D

OK. What device are you talking about? QPhone, ReadyFx or the street name chenPhone.
Currently nothing make sense to me.

But I do like yet another thread with absolutely no info :D

QPhone?

I'm not a fan of empty site either. And I felt like you before I got more info. And no I can't share it. But it change my mind to at least give it a chance.

And I also added ReadyFx for your reference ;)

Q-Phone was something chen or livmortium use in a Twitttt I think. What name do you prefer.

I’m happy that you got some info. Please not share it. It might be fake since you can’t discuss it or let others share input about it. But out of interest why do need to bring it up? Either you share it or keep quiet about is my advice. ;)

Only open source info is valuable.

So lessons learned...

Ok. Just kidding. What do you know? :D

xman 2018-11-17 19:07

Re: Are you Ready? Fx HW Keyboard Phone

Hmm, interesting never saw the q-phone. I did find that the company was involved in making a keyboard for Moto phones, so this seem to be an extension of that.

But okay you win. I'll just keep quiet. :D

I have already suggested that in this other thread for this qPhone. One window every day with a tiny bit info every day to new year.

Not sure if that will happen though.

Seems like what is being asked falls under the category of a Countdown thread. Maybe put there. If there is nothing new a chocolate each day that is the case would suffice. At least it makes you feel better!

Chocolate? Obvious not to me to decide how this potential phone shall appear to the world. But you got a point. A list is indeed needed.

While waiting.

Hope chen have something nice in mind when the time is right
