Help needed , install error
 

Hi all
Guys so this is basically what happened.

I finally got a new phone and decided to reflash my N900 to give it to my sister ( She's a noob so only basic apps were needed) So long story shot I had to reflash to remove my heavily customized things. On the fresh phone I installed CSSU and FAM to get most needed apps all at once. FAM crashed during installation and damaged/broke install packages etc so as the apps suggested I wanted to run dpkg --config -a to fix the error but *epic facepalm* I forgot to install shroot so now I cant install it with HAM or FAM :(

Please help me I dont want to reflash again:confused:

There's no such thing as shroot, its either called rootsh, sudo or sudser.

What you could do is enable R&D mode which will allow you to gain root status via `sudo gainroot'

Sorry my mistake , but what I meant is that I cant install any app at all how do I enable RD mode?

lol if its done via flasher only I can just reflash it :|

well it has to be done via flasher, but it might save you from resetting dates and times :p. No there isn't much alternatives that I know of. If you can't install any other programs such as sshd, ssh switcher, rootsh, sudser, etc you're pretty much stuffed.
