Well actually it could be usefull because if you have a conversation on any particular thread you got to be on topic or your asked (nicely of course) to get off it !.

Here there is no topic as such just a debate thread for anything, nothing in particular so the topic can change with the wind with no fear of trampling on anyones topic.

Re: COmmunity rant thread.

Ranting is non productive.

Children rant and whine to their parents because they don't know any better and they hope that their parents will take care of the problem for them.

Adults will observe, assess the situation, formulate plans and take actions to correct things. If it involves other people, they will have civil discussion with others to formulate the solutions. Yes, that's a 2-ways communication.

If you want a soapbox where you can stand and yell about impending doom, you can pick an empty street corner or go to the off-topic subforum.

For your ranting, abill, I shall now redirect you to EVERY OTHER THREAD. Since ranting ontopic is seemingly considered ontopic too..?

Oh and regarding the 'community' value, I should urgently ask you to move this to OFFTOPIC yes? ;)

Let's quit right here, before I am ranting myself..

Cheers.

Good day!

Ohh...what do you want me to rant about?

I'm also sick of not having my own thread where only I can post!

so, where were we?

name for an open source renewal of Maemo:

os2011.org as an reference to the last Maemo version 20.2010.36.2 (hope i got it right)

oss20xx.org where xx not in {05, 06, 07, 08, 09, 10, 11, 12} as those numbers are already taken.
your valid point to mark the Openness versus os20xy

osos2011.org as a play on osso
osos2010.org would be nice too in that case, as an allegiance to the original

???

EDIT: nice how constructive ppl are on this forum, isn't it?
