Is there a possibility to disable the volume keys?

I bought a car holder a few days ago which fits perfectly for my car and the mobile itself. The problem is that there is not much space so it is pressing sometimes the volume keys when I move it too much.

So the question is, can I disable the volume keys temporary?

I solved the issue myself :p

Have a closer look at this pictures:

( You see that the buttons get pressed by the holder )

THE SOLUTION:

( Just turn the holder 180° and it fits :D )

( There is even a small slot so the buttons don't get pressed )

Its a very solid and stable car climatic holder for the N900, worth the 10 Euro. Still if you wonder why your buttons get pressed, well just turn it around and don't be dumb like me ;)

Mind sharing where you got the holder from?

Thank you, really smart isn't it?

I bought the holder here -> http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...=STRK:MEWNX:IT

Here is a picture:

It is very solid and fits perfectly at my climatic (MB C-Class), way better then a window holder.

Hm. Google can't seem to translate the page.

Does it say if they'll ship to North America? Can't find anything like this for such a good price.

Thanks.

Just change the .de to .com
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...=STRK:MEWNX:IT

They only ship to Europe (shipping and handling section)

Re: Is there a possibility to disable the volume keys?

And I'd appreciate a software hack to disable the volume keys. My N900 has a hardware defect and the volume keys are oversensitive. So it would be great to be able to disable them.
