Solution to fix scratches on N900's screen?
 

I know the alternatives like placing a screen protector to make them less visible and replacing the whole screen but I need a more permenant and cheap solution.

I have heard you can use toothpaste to buff out scratches. There are multiple howtos etc on the web regarding this kind of thing

I got a scratch remover for N900 but it made the scratches more visible so be careful what substances you apply to the screen.

Screen protectors as you have flagged help hide minor scratches (but more importantly avoid new scratches).

......ok so not overly helpful but I always apply a screen protector to all my devices the second they come out the box - that way, when the scratches get too much, I can just whip it off and apply a new one.

First of all. Protect it. Don't put it in the same pocket with your keys. This is a slow and painful death. Apply a screen protector. You can get them for around 3€. Also buy a case. I got the CP-321 and it ****ing good.

Don't forget it's a 600€ device.

Build a time machine, go back in time, order a screen protector before ordering the N900, then apply that screen protector as soon as you receive your N900.

On a serious note, if you could find the correct polish you might be able to polish them out.

do you think its possible to use brasso to remove scratches? without any adverse side effects such as loss of screen sensitivity... i know brasso is REALLY effective at removing even the deepest of scratches.
