Sygic is pretty good, might be worth looking into that.

Don't think so, Nokia seems to have AD/HD about old models. Sygic is indeed available, but 70€ seems a bit steep for something I expected to become free at some point.

yeah i would buy a full fleged gps device for my car rather than buying sygic

Wait for Meego (It's coming), it will probably have better GPS software.

Read somewhere that the guy in charge of SW development at Nokia has stated we could get it one day - but only if the QT version they are doing for Meego can be compiled for Maemo without massive amounts of re-work. So there is a small chance.
