I have used this one https://wiki.maemo.org/Updating_the_firmware

As it is said:

Full charge the battery

Download this

https://web.archive.org/web/20131117...MC_MR0_ARM.bin

and this

https://web.archive.org/web/20131117...ED_MR0_ARM.bin

Remove battery and let it be out for 10 sec at least. First flash the combined. Remove usb and let the phone settle. Remove battery for 10 sec. Flash Vanilla. Remove usb and let the phone settle. Remove battery for 10 sec. Flash combined. Remove usb and let device settle. Remove battery for 10 sec. Try to open the phone.

Re: Nokia N900 reflash

Flashing the combined first is needed only under very rare circumstances.
Normal flash order is
first eMMC(vanilla)
then the firmware (combined).

Please help me step by step. There is very little information on the Internet. How to install Maemo leste on Nokia N900. I don't know much about how to do it. I know that this requires a u-boot. And I do not understand how to do it

Very good request. You could post this question on this thread: https://talk.maemo.org/showthread.ph...este+pre-alpha

But Maemo Leste is not yet ready and it is more for testers and those who know how to do things. Many things do not yet work and you have to know many tweaks to get things work. I'm sure that when Leste is ready for new users and public it will have good and thorough instructions how to install it. At the moment I do not think it is wise for you spend time with it. You may just get frustrated.

But maybe someone will make a thorough instructions explaining everythig in detail. I still suggest that you could drop it for now and wait untill it is made ready.

Re: Nokia N900 reflash

If it makes you feel better I haven't even run Leste on my Pinephone(you can usualy just try out an OS by booting from the SD) but Leste requires installing U-boot to the bootloader partition which wipes the stock bootloader. I always used backupmenu on my N900(still my daily phone) and do not want to play around with flashing bootloaders right now on either phone.

I think you need to use the bootloader flash options when you read the wiki page on flasher but that is a guess, I have not tried that only flashing stock nokia firmwares and then OTA'ing to latest CSSU for correct kernel so I can load an old backupmenu backup.

I will also say that all of the options for the pinephone are very early alpha and other than testing and deving for leste you will probably not end up with a daily use phone vs stock maemo5 which still works probably at featurephone grade for me. I can make calls send SMS, play music and podcasts, and Maebble to link to my Pebble watch; I guess GPS too though OSM is not downloading new maps so I might as well use 2011 maps for Sygic if I dont have a tablet along.
