Re: Help with Power Kernel in PR 1.3
If you are already root via a previous "sudo gainroot" command (ie you have a "#" prompt versus a "$" prompt"), you don't need to prepend your commands with another sudo. Just type the command as-is.

Re: N900 no longer detects my home router?!
Channel 13 is not an authorized channel for wifi in many parts of the world (U.S. included). It's probably built into the global firmware to not communicate on that channel so that it can pass the...

Re: N900 and USA market (T-Mobile)
just based on anecdotal musings from various folks talking on forums for my part..though I'm sure it's buried in some service agreement mumbo jumbo somewhere or perhaps in an internal memo that they...

Re: N900 and USA market (T-Mobile)

Re: AT&T 3G Works WTF -_-
ip is at&t also according to dig. This is either a very elaborate hoax involving some decent photoshopping or he has indeed stumbled upon an LTE pilot site.

Re: AT&T 3G Works WTF -_-
Yes, I suppose that is a possibility. At&t does own some AWS band real estate in Nevada over which they might be piloting their LTE gear (which is indeed backwards compatible with HSPA if i recall...

Re: transmission - how does it work
A lot of things that the N900 is capable of doing make more sense to use your PC to do instead, but that requires that you have your PC available at the time. The whole point of the N900 is that it...

The longest my N900 has taken for a lock without an internet connection is around 5 minutes. And that's pretty standard for phone-based GPS systems from what I understand as they are designed with...

Re: USB to Serial
They're a little pricey in comparison to a usb-serial adapter, but functionality-wise I don't see why they would be any different. Google search term "serial bluetooth adapter" for more info.

Re: Root space
Yes, you could do that but then you would lose the ability to easily plug-n-pray with windows devices (though maybe you in particular don't care about that).
