Want to fix old, old N900 - cost and stuff?
Hey. I have this Nokia N900 lying around, and I kinda want to fix it. The stuff that doesn't work is the camera (doesn't even start), touch screen (stopped responding to anything, heavy scratches)...

If you're meaning that it might be the phone, tough luck. The battery doesn't work in my grandad's Nokia 5800 XpressMusic (strange name), and the battery of the 5800 works in the N900 (IT WORKS!).

Thanks, but that doesn't help.I pulled them so close they were almost touching (all three of them). On connecting a charger, same as before behavior.

Thanks a lot! The cold reflash did it! Also, it solved my camera issue as well, which gave "Operation failed" on pulling open the lens cover. Now both the camera and the accelerometer work!

Yeah, that's a typo. My bad. However, when I try to edit the uevent file with nano (I use it instead of Leafpad), it couldn't save it! Any idea why? I'll try again after a(nother) rootfs reflash.

Damn then. I tested by installing Temple Run 2. Accelerometer didn't work. I also tried this:
