I see your point Karel, but at the moment it's the only realistic opportunity of expanding the device's memory capacity beyond 2GB without taking it apart - which I can't help feeling would land me...

Actually if you could do it by August of next year that would be really helpful as I'm off to the US which unfortunately means sitting on a plane for 10 hours :p So the extra 2GBs would come in handy...

Without going into too much detail (in fact hardly any at all!) I would say yes, from the "symptoms" that you describe it sounds as though you are having similar problems to quite a few 770 users....
