Hahah! How exciting!
When I signed up for T-Mobile's "be the first!" promotion on their SDA/MDA phone releases here in the US, I expected to be notified before the release date. They've been at retailers and in the online store for 8 days now and still no "be the first!" notification.

Marketing should.. um ... WORK, ya know?
