  • I haven't seen anyone overclocking omap4430 even when it was new.
  • With 1ghz dual-A9 cores we're already a good deal faster than n900.
  • OC would get into high battery drain.

What transitions do you mean? Switching window animations? Disabling them wouldn't save much power.

I don't recall swappolube on n900. In maemo-leste, swap can be set with standard linux tools. I don't recall ever getting into swap usage.
  • Running playstation emulator, i see 164MB used, 801MB available
  • Running chromium, google start page, i see 233MB used, 735MB available.
  • Running chromium, T.M.O homepage, i see 240MB used, 722MB available.
In addition the upstream/stock devuan Chromium browser blows firefox out of the water:
  • Responds to swipe to scroll and pinch to zoom which is amazing to me. The display updates aren't smooth though.
  • Clicking on links on T.M.O. pulls up the page in about 1 second on my slow internet.
  • Idle CPU use with T.M.O open is 0.0% ... ZERO!
Impressive!
