Thanks borghal, I was not aware of a new version.

This new version seems better than the 0.92 that I could only get to recognize my device once.

So far it is not working, but at least there seems to be communication. I paste the results below

I am now reading up on the message board of syncevolution to see if I can sort it out. Already having visions of great, greater celebrations as this is one of the few things I have problems with concerning my n900.
