If battery really "out of juice" can take several minutes even to appear in terminal after connecting USB cable.

Okay with these tips I got some led flashing so the N9 is not completely dead. Still didn't get it to boot or charge so battery shopping it is and maybe I will get another 6 years of bedside standby screen clock
