I've updated PenguinTV to version 3.9.4, which switches html rendering from mozilla (which is a memory hog) to gtkhtml (which isn't great but works). PenguinTV should now start up faster and consume a little less memory.

The only real bug is in gtkhtml, and that is that links are hard to click. You have to doubleclick them quite quickly to activate them. Other than that everything should be fine.

any news?

it seems that penguintv wants to go online even if ii have it set to not refresh feeds on startup.

also, any chance to have it not download images and similar even tho there is a internet connection available?

When I run it I get the little message saying it's loading...then...nothing.

I've re-booted the device. Have no other apps running..and the same thing..nada.

I've experienced the same thing. Is there something that I'm missing?

i get the app to load, but then an error about penguintv feeds not found. i am requested to install penguintv and define them there - however penguintv is not available for n900.

is there any documentation explaining what to do?

Apparently penguintv do not have python-gtkhtml2 set as a dependency like should.

apt-get install python-gtkhtml2 as root should do the trick.
