Im just curious if it's possible to boot another PC from N900's USB mass storage?

I dont have any pendrives lying around at the moment and want to boot a box without DVD drive.

Thanks

Yes it is possible. I have installed System Rescue CD on microSD card that I use in my N900. In order to boot from microSD inside N900 it has to be the only drive that is exposed as mass storage. To achieve that I simply run mplayer on some media file places on internal eMMC and plug USB cable to my laptop. This way booting from N900 works just fine.

was just about to post this question and this popped up ina ctive topics, really useful to have a few microsd's with different os' or recovery/forensics tools on them.

Infact just make a multipass style microSD with grub4dos and you can have memtest, freedos, ubuntulive, ntpassword . . etcetc

theres a good video how to for usb drives here: HAK5 USB Multipass Episode im sure the same can be applied to and kind of flash storage
