I'd like check out some C source code (already have gcc and such ...on the N810I)

Do I need svn? How do I get it on my N810 (apt-get install svn doesn't cut on the N810)?

I am using my N810 not Ubuntu PC.

No, but "apt-get install subversion" might ;-)
