I'm trying to tunnel all of my traffic trough a socks proxy with ssh and dynamic forwarding but from my search i've noticed that the missing SOCKS proxy option in settings/internet connection is a WONTFIX.

So, i was thinking of trying to tunnel individual apps with tsocks from qole's repo.
My question is somewhat basic. How do i start the conversation app from xterm and has anyone tried using it with with tsocks?
/usr/bin/rtcom-messaging-ui only gets me notificaiton for Internal Error, Application Conversations has closed.
