It would be nice to have a plugin inside the status-menu that provided the current weather. The main icon can be bound to the conditions and then a quick day forecast. Clicking it could launch a user-configurable application (omweather, foreca, weatherbug)

Should be achievable with omweather data. The closest thing to a plugin with this functionality is status-area-applet-mediaplayer. It refreshes the icon and text changes on dbus signals.

Anybody want to tackle this?
