Hey everyone, a few weeks ago I had battery problems with my N900, but just today I got a (third time lucky) new battery that finally booted the device past the logo screen. so now that I'm reflashing I thought I'd do some things with a fresh install:

-Put Uboot (the new one) instead of Multiboot so I can boot BackupMenu and Nitdroid (emmc install). (currently researching if this is even feasible)

-Since I don't use Easy Debian much, put the 2gb file on a ext2 formatted 8gb card (class 6). is there a way to find how much improvement this gives (e.g a command to show write/read speed on sd vs on MyDocs for example)

EDIT: Ok it looks like I lost that card, I guess for now I'll try putting Easy Debian image on a 2gb card, I ONLY use Easy Debian for GIMP and Open Office, so (Noob question) does apt-get remove xxx reduces the image size, or is there another/a better way to manually resize the 2gb image?
