I upgraded N900 to PR 1.3 using Nokia Software Updater. So after upgrading it, all the installed applications were removed by NSU.
Now I'm trying to configure Internet via USB Ethernet (OS - Ubuntu 9.10). But one of the acquried application that I need - libicd-network-null - doesn't install due to unresolved depencies.

Does somebody know the solution to it or maybe know how to configure Internet through USB in other way?

P.S. Sorry for my poorly English.

I have the same problem. libicd-network-null does not install.

Has someone any hints?

more info needed.
what's the error message?
according to the package page, it doesn't actually have any dependencies...

There was a way to add dummy connection with just bare gconftool-2 somewhere in wiki. I'm having exactly the same problem, so will post it here in a minute or so.

But it doesn't work for me.
Anyone knows the reason of dummy IAPs being ignored?

Recently I've managed to configure Ethernet USB Networking.

To do this I downloaded libicd-network-null_1.3_armel.deb package, unpackaged it on PC.

Secondly I sent "libicd_network_null.so" and "libicd-network-null.schemas" files to phone via bluetooth.

After that I copied (using terminal on N900 and utilite rootsh)
"libicd_network_null.so" file to /usr/lib/icd2
and
"libicd-network-null.schemas" file to /usr/share/gconf/schemas

Finally I did all the actions that are listed in this solution: http://wiki.maemo.org/N900_USB_netwo...o_applications
