As the title suggests, is there a way to do it for applications like less (searching with "/") and htop (sending signals)?

Man, that bug report (and the fix!) date back to last December !
How come it wasn't included in PR1.1 or 1.2 ?
I bet it'll still be there in 1.3...
Thanks Thomas Perl for the patched lib. And thanks to ebzzry for asking : I've lived with that bug in ssh+screen all that time and never knew there was a workaround

If I hadn't been a Maemo user since OS2005 on the 770, I 'd find this unbelievable. Unfortunately it's the sort of thing buyers have accepted from Microsoft &others for decades... bad habits die hard.
