I searched before I decided to post. I installed pidgin today to use gtalk and aol im (i considered haze as well). while fooling around i found out that plugins can be installed like the desktop version however when i click them nothing happens. Does this mean they are not compatible? Or they have to be in the repository in order to be installed/downloaded?

thanks.

What does "when i click them nothing happens" mean?

There's "Pidgin Extra Protocols" package, did you install that?

By doing nothing I mean it doesn't give me the option of installing it just selects it and if I hold my finger on it a popup shows saying the file name and a description.

And no I didnt install it, where can I find it?

"it" is the software/plugin.

I installed pidgin from the extras repository. I looked again and the only thing left that has to do with pidgin is extra protocols (bonjour and sametime) and language support.
