Seeing how it is a common issue, I'm thinking of getting the microUSB soldered onto the motherboard. Does anyone have any experience with that? Is it a good idea or should I use superglue instead?

Check this thread.

Mine came off last week. Glad it happened when it did as it was just a week before the 2 year warranty expires! I read some bad experiences getting this repaired via a service centre so sent this direct to Nokia for repair. This was all done online, including UPS next day collection via http://www.nokia.co.uk/gb-en/support...g/warranty?c=1. First step is entering IMEI to check warranty status.

Good luck.

Awesome the soldering thing looks easy and durable, I think I'll get that done.
