i love my n900 i really do, and i love my macbook. ive been thinking about getting the bridging gap between them, i find lugging my macbook everywhere can get a little bit anoying when commuting and traveling.
my n900 is fine for everything but i can find it somewhat frustrating sometimes to use it as a solid laptop replacement out and about, although it is do-able.
so i was wondering if there are any linux based tablets out there, possibly with a single touch pressure screen [ although not essential ]
having a port of my paint on a small tablet while on long train rides ect would be great

so can anyone recommend any out or up coming tablets?

What size?

Technically 10" is small for a laptop if your tablet is to replace it.
And 7" is too large if you plan on keeping it in small purse/jacket pockets.

I'm sooooo p'ssed that the cordia tab project is blocked ATM because hardware manufacturers not following the GPL wrt the kernel... it would be ideal to have such a tablet with a complete desktop-like GNU/Linux stack... hardware I own with just any OS I choose to install. Like I do with my laptop or desktop PC.

@Benny I hoped the Galaxy Tab could host a full-fledged ubuntu, but the only developer who was working on that has disappeared.
