Hi,

I started trying to convert movies/TV series, which I have on DVD, for the N9, using XMedia Recode.

However I didn't find a suitable profile for the N9, so I tried to convert entering the resolution which I found in the technical specs of the N9 (format MP4).
The N9 starts playing the movie for about 2 seconds and then stops stating "Video format not supported".

Does anyone have experience with conversion of DVDs for the N9, any easy-to-use tool recommendations? preferably for Win7, also possible for Ubuntu

I have read the epic video thread about the N9 and the weak video processor, but didn't find a recommendation.

I would like to watch the movies full screen on the N9, without any black bars making the image smaller.

Any ideas?

thanks,
misto

download freemake video converter.. Save files as MP4 or AVI with screen resolution same as N9 screen. Lower bitrate a bit if you want.
