would it be ok to vote simply based on the fact that i never had any problems in its use? i'm not a coder so i didn't read through the source and checked whatever needs to be checked but it's not a broken software based on my experience.

EDIT: i think it's fine. i got big names behind my back so i'll give it my thumbs up.

Hope this hasn't been asked before, but I couldn't find any information about SSH and BackupMenu.
How can we change the IP address in BackupMenu? I changed the IP address of my PC, but I could not connect to my N900 with WinSCP.
Or am I doing something wrong? I changed the IP address of my PC's wireless card to the range of what BackupMenu uses (192.168."forgot the number". 1), but I couldn't even ping it. Usually I connect my N900 to my router and then use WinSCP on my PC ...

Please forgive me if this has come up before... I have had a look through this thread & didn't spot it. I cannot, for the life of me get the root console (t) to work. I have changed the root password. I take the option, get the Terminal Readme screen, press any key & the screen just goes blank. cntl D returns me to the menu screen. Am I missing something?

Are you trying to connect wireless? That won't work, you will have to use your usb cable for networking in this case.

Yeah, usb networking only. In theory, it might be possible to do wifi, but I don't have anything setup for it.

Macey, you need Power Kernel installed for it to work, per the instructions.

Thanks for that, will install Power Kernel, re "as per Instructions", which instructions is it in? can't find it in this thread, other than queries like mine & not on Terminal Readme/Instructions screen.

I'm not sure where to ask this question, but what is the closest N9 program like Backupmenu? Since I got my N9 I miss it.
