Hi

My n9's gps is no longer getting a lock. I've tried changing the supl server various times and it's not working.

When using the gps meefo app I can see 5-6 satellites very near but the phone doesn't lock. Tried it both indoors, outdoors, nothing. Tried with various apps: gps meefo, maps, nelisquare, whatsup, etc. nothing.

When I launch gpsmeefo is this all I see in the syslog:

Anyone knows or has had a similar situation and knows how to fix it other than reflashing?

Thanks in advanced,

I haven't used powerpack, only fastern9 (stable).

I would rather fix it than reflash, or at least try everything posible before reflashing.

Any ideas?

Does anyone know how to clear the gps cache? In the n900 there was a small binary file to do that in maemo bugzilla, but for n9 I cannot find anything similar.

I've tried removing fastern9 but the problem is still happening.

thanks,

I've just reflashed (not EMMC) and changed supl to google. Still not working.
Resetting phone didn't work either.

Thanks,

Ok, I managed to fix this! I was under the impression this had something to do with aegis, so after looking carefully at the /home/user/.aegis folder I removed the file:

/home/user/.aegis/ps/Pe/positioningd-private@com.nokia.maemo.positioningd.

rebooted and it's now working. You will probably need opensh to remove the file.

Hope this is useful for someone else!
