A friend is going to Italy, and I want to import the Jolla phone,
does anyone knows if any shop/store in Tuscani has it for sale?

This month it seems there should be some announcement from Jolla about marketing to Italy, but perhaps it won't happen soon enough to be available at the (operator?) stores while you're friend is in Tuscany.

He would have to order it online from Jolla.com to his hotel or wherever he's staying at in Italy.

If you do this make sure you order ahead in enough time. Perhaps someone can comment on delivery time. I had a friend of mine in Switzerland buy mine to bring back to the states. Too bad data doesn't work in US.

Gee! Time for a mini rant

Even if Jolla does not want to directly market in the US, and I can appreciate reasons why, don't folks in Europe want to bring their precious Jolla phones to use in the US? Wouldn't they want to have data working when visiting US? Is Jolla trying to protect their customers from the NSA spying on them when using data for email and social media or data transfers in US? Don't worry, they're in Europe too! Muahahahahaha!!!!

Ok. Enough of the rant. But, if I may ask. Please Jolla, sell a device that will allow for data in US on tmobile or att carrier even if the carrier does not sell the phone. Pretty please...

I've been already. Not sure why I'd go back.

To be honest, I'm not sure why I'd want to leave Yorkshire.

I can see your point though. If we're forced to go to America for work purposes we might want to video conference with our lass back home at un-Yorkshireman like data prices.

Amazon.co.uk has them.

See for yourself. I wonder if they'll ship to Italy though.

At all? I thought it was only 4G that didn't work. If that's the case, then what's the problem?
