I'm really tired of this. I don't necessarily want high-end devices, but why do I have to think of trade-offs at this level of cheapness?

No, only the map will not auto-orient itself, the catching pokemon in AR is using accelerometer only (or mostly, check with ekkelund though, he has PokemonGO already running on JollaC, could be mistaken)

I assume you mean gyroscope, but in any case it means you cannot correlate the gyroscope data with your actual NSWE orientation, so the AR won't respect what was shown in the map (dunno if the game does that).
