"I noticed a strange problem - when painting the brush suddenly stops until i lift my finger and try again. "

I can confirm that on N800 OS2008. In version -2 . I haven't tried the new one yet.

I'm not sure if you are using a scratch protector.
but when i was i was having the same issue.
until I got rid of the scratch protector.
now it works properly.

I had this rubber like scratch protector.

I am also experiencing the same problem. I am using the latest version of OS2008.

Otherwise a great app. I especially appreciate being able to adjust brightness and contrast of images and and the use of layers, both of which I hadn't found in an app for before this one. ;-)

Hmm, maybe it has something to do with the tablet sensitivity, will investigate further...

Having fun, eh?

Something else - drawing worked flawlessly for me before i uninstalled my previous version yesterday to test the new one... maybe it is something in the settings. I'll check that first.

Hmm, I didn't bother uninstalling the previous version,
I just updated it via app manager.

I'm going to uninstall and reinstall the latest version and see if i can recreate the problem.

What a nice way to touch up photos from a digital camera! A 5 megapixel image from Nokia N95 opens up quickly.

Some windows are so tall or wide that the OK/Cancel buttons (and some settings) are not visible. Pressing Esc (back arrow) closes a window and pressing Enter (direction pad center) performs action such as resize, so the overly big window is not a critical issue.

Here's a list of windows that are too big, if you're interested:
  • Image -> Scale Canvas (damn, some options not accessible...)
  • Image -> Resize Canvas (only a few pixels, it would seem)
  • Image -> Information
  • Image -> Preferences -> Files (something under buttons)
  • Image -> Preferences -> Paths (ditto)
  • Image -> Preferences -> Tablet (ditto)
  • Palette -> Palette Shifter
  • Channels -> New
  • Channels -> Configure Overlays (too wide)

Perhaps wrapping the dialog contents in a scrollable container would be a temporary solution?

All in all, a very promising start. Thanks again for porting this!
