Could you tell us what this app is? An art app?

Check that. For some reason I had to run it from Xterm but it shows promise! Any way to change brushes? It seems like it would make a really great notebook app! I'll draw some with and post it here ;-)

MyPaint got me excited, but the three screen implementation was so clunky that I couldn't dive in like I wanted. I guess the issue is that I don't "have to" sketch on the tablet, so a half baked UI interaction can dissuade me and leave me to other solutions.

Xournal is pretty nice for notes, but doesn't quite cross the line beyond that.

Those sketches above are nice. My sketches (of UI designs and flows) end up being not nearly as elegant. I've just held back and use paper and pencil/pen.

But I am really waiting with bated breath for a sketching/drawing solution that makes the tablet shine. So Awe215, I applaud your effort, and the efforts of the folks who have given us MyPaint, Xournal and the others. I'm still waiting, and I am still optimistic!

The main problem I have been having is: hiccups on the tablet i.e. you draw a line and a second or two later it appears. In real life it is real time, so when the tablet can emulate that, that is when the ball will really roll. I think this maybe a hardware issue i.e. limitation of the tablet based on cpu and ram.

I have just given airx a go. It seems to show some promise in that it gives the tablet a shot at gimp, albeit, not natively. There is a slight lag, like what I mentioned above. I don't know if that is on the tablet or my computer side of things. But, it's alot of fun to play with!

I am posting a little 2 minute sketch I did.
