This might be of interest to some, but you can sign up for a free one month trial membership of Amazon Prime. This gives you free 2 day shipping and $3.99 overnight shipping. I'm gambling that the n900 will ship within the next month, so I signed up.

This might not work for those who have previously signed up for Amazon Prime and cancelled. Don't forget to turn off Automatic upgrade in the account settings if you don't want to get charged $79 for a full year Amazon Prime memebership. You can also share your membership with up to four people.

Edit: You can also wait until ship dates become firm and then sign up for Amazon Prime which guarantees the cheaper shipping rates.

FYI, Amazon USA's (pre $50 rebate) price was just increased from $529.99 to $549.99. STILL no change in my shipping status.

That's why I hopped on that junk before they increased the price again..Hopefully you hear something soon. I don't expect to get my order until at least the middle of next month..
