Great work on the widget! I have a suggestion: can you make days more visually separated? The thing is, when I look at the calendar, I can't tell the difference between today's events and tomorrow's (or next week's). What I'd like is to immediately see: these two events are for today, these three for tomorrow, the rest in the further future. So I was thinking something like vertical space after "today" and "tomorrow", or maybe different colors?

Maybe it is time to do so.
How do people sync calendar events?
regards nicolai
there are a few ways
syncml using syncevolution app
activesync using builtin mail for exchange support
various google calendar hacks/apps
Just for the record, I use a variant of the "standard" Nokia method (#2), using the built-in sync feature of the N900 with a PC running Nokia PC Suite and an Outlook calendar, over Bluetooth.

In this case, when the N900 calendar is refreshed from the PC, your widget reflects the changes automatically without problems, just like the original did.

Only it's much better of course :-)

A bit off topic, but how did you get it to use bluetooth?

Hmm, I tend to forget about these things once they start working reliably... which I always regret when they stop working :-)

I believe I set this up on the PC side, in PC Suite. To configure the sync process you first need to select a phone, then a network transport. That's where you get the chance to specify BT.

Side note: no problem either updating to the latest version, showed up right away. I knew immediately, because it reverted from the "auto" size setting to the default "5", so I had to put it back in again :-)

One more feature request: can you make current-day old events to not show up?

For instances, today I had a meeting from 9:30 am to 10:30 am. It is now almost 1 pm and the event is still there (and it will remain there until midnight). I would expect that the first event in the list is the next to come and not an event that has already happened. I guess that when the event's end time has passed, the event should disappear from the list. In my example, at 10:31 am it should be removed.

Thanks.

No, I don't want to change the font color, but I try to make a
visible distinction between today and other events.

Yes, at the moment all today events are shown. It is just the
easiest way, so I don't have to care about updating the
event list. But I will change this, so the event list should be updated
as soon as the current event is over.
