Hi,
Help needed. I update the "lockscreen upcoming" and the Nexus 5 doesn't start well anymore. But, fortunately, I can connect it through ssh.

Unfortunately, I didn't save the instructions to recover, so I'm asking for help. And this time, I'll keep those instructions somewhere.

Thanks.

In the following folder
/usr/share/lipstick-jolla-home-qt5/lockscreen/

Delete the following lines from Lockscreen.qml
ShowCalEvents
{
id: showcalevents
anchors
{
top: {
try {
weatherData.bottom
}
catch(e) {
networkNameAndDateLabels.bottom
}
}
topMargin: Theme.paddingMedium
right: parent.right
rightMargin: Theme.paddingMedium
}
}

I think patchmanager is getting confused as we both insert lines into Lockscreen.qml at the same point. I tested by moving where I put my lines and that seems to resolve it. I will update my package in openrepos soon.

Hi,

I have all patches disabled and i cannot uninstall upcoming events

here is the log:
Code:
[root@Jolla lockscreen]# pkcon remove lockscreen-upcoming
More than one package matches:
1. lockscreen-upcoming-0.2-1.armv7hl [installed]
2. lockscreen-upcoming-0.1-1.armv7hl [installed]
Please choose the correct package: 2

the same happens if i choose to remove the newer rmp. Does anyone have a proposal for me to try?
Can I force re-installation in some way and then remove or even delete the files manually?

I have checked and the lockscreen.qml does not have this patch applied.

I have tried coderus instruction on removing patchmanager and folder, but it didn't solve it.

EDIT:

here is also all the files i could find with *upcoming*:
Code:
[root@Jolla lockscreen]# find / -name *upcoming*
/var/cache/zypp/packages/openrepos-anig/l/lockscreen-upcoming-0.2-1.armv7hl.rpm
/var/cache/zypp/packages/openrepos-anig/l/lockscreen-upcoming-0.3-1.armv7hl.rpm
find: /proc/30139: No such file or directory
/usr/share/jolla-settings/entries/lockscreen-upcoming-patch.json
/usr/share/jolla-settings/pages/lockscreen-upcoming-patch
/usr/share/jolla-settings/pages/lockscreen-upcoming-patch/lockscreen-upcoming-patch.json
/usr/share/patchmanager/patches/lockscreen-upcoming
/opt/alien/usr/share/jolla-settings/entries/lockscreen-upcoming-patch.json
/opt/alien/usr/share/jolla-settings/pages/lockscreen-upcoming-patch
/opt/alien/usr/share/jolla-settings/pages/lockscreen-upcoming-patch/lockscreen-upcoming-patch.json
/opt/alien/usr/share/patchmanager/patches/lockscreen-upcoming
/opt/alien/var/cache/zypp/packages/openrepos-anig/l/lockscreen-upcoming-0.2-1.armv7hl.rpm
/opt/alien/var/cache/zypp/packages/openrepos-anig/l/lockscreen-upcoming-0.3-1.armv7hl.rpm
EDIT2:

I did the following to get rid of the two old packages:
Code:
[root@Jolla nemo]# rpm  -e --noscripts lockscreen-upcoming
error: "lockscreen-upcoming" specifies multiple packages:
  lockscreen-upcoming-0.1-1.armv7hl
  lockscreen-upcoming-0.2-1.armv7hl
[root@Jolla nemo]# rpm  -e --noscripts lockscreen-upcoming-0.1-1.armv7hl
[root@Jolla nemo]# rpm  -e --noscripts lockscreen-upcoming-0.2-1.armv7hl
I has now disappeared from the patchmanager menu and all seems ok.

Don't find this @anig, I removed the lockscreen-upcoming rpm. But that doesn't fix the issue.

Thanks. That doesn't fix the issue, just think of flashing a new image.

so... before I bite the bullet and upgrade to 1.9, do any of the patches still work or do they need to be updated?
