The whole "it doesn't suddenly stop working" thing is exaggerating. My N800 didn't suddenly stop working either, but you'll note the stagnation and lack of updates.

i was unsuccessful in purchasing. nokia said my card would not process even though my bank showed the charge and said no problem. now its out of stock. i called and spent an hour on hold on the phone, only to have them tell me they would call me back. no call back. just a 'your order has been canceled' from a noreply email. eat a dick, nokia

The promo still lives here, but appears to be disabled. Perhaps they will re-activate the promo when/if they have more stock available!?
