SOLVED. Short answer: the system-ui versions that were maintained/updated to include LED Notifications via system-ui are the following:

  1. - 1.2.23-1 (for Nokia N950 PR1.2 Beta - tried and works, simply enable MAG's repo so you can install Toggles, LED notifications, etc. via apt-get command)
    - 1.3.2-1 (for Nokia N9 PR1.3 - not tried as I am currently staying on PR1.2)

I'm all set now, thanks!

Friends,

So, in my (previously) long post, I was able to get LED Notifications work alongside with unrestricted-system-ui, MT-Toggles, etc. on PR1.2 (N9) when I installed (dpkg -i command) version 1.3.2 of arcean's system-ui file (system-ui_1.3.2-1+0m8_armel.deb).

I wasn't sure if using version 1.3.2 would cause problems when used on PR1.2 firmware of the N9, so I did it again (this time as per instructions) on a newly-flashed N9 just to rule out variables, i.e. existing apps installed that may cause any problem.

From a newly-flashed N9:

1. Enable developer mode
2. Install/Enable Inception
3. Install wget
4. Install unrestricted-system-ui via instructions from the Wiki. I used version 1.2.24-2+0m7 for PR1.2.
5. Added MAG's repo via instructions from his thread.
6. Install LED Notifications via system-ui as per instructions from this post.

Note: MT-Toggles, actual Toggles not installed yet.

Result: Terminal would not allow me to install. Here is the screenshot...

Code:
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:

duicontrolpanel-ledapplet Depends: system-ui-led-support but it is not installable
E: Broken packages
Questions:

1. How come that in my previous attempt where I installed version 1.3.2 of system-ui (from arcean's first post), LED Notifications was able to work? Does this mean that version 1.2.24 of system-ui file (which was downloaded from MAG's repo via wget) won't work?

2. Should I decide to just continue using version 1.3.2 on a PR1.2 Nokia N9, will this cause any (current or future) problems along the way? I edited my long post previously when I got it to work, but just thinking ahead.

3. Or is there an available 1.2.24 system-ui version which works for PR1.2 that I need to use instead?

Thanks.

EDIT: I'm really sorry, I know I should move on to PR1.3 (and I'm itching to update the firmware), but I have to stay on PR1.2 for a while as I'm making some localized content (tutorials) for future Nokia N9 owners where I live.

Worst-case if there is no resolution I'll probably use LED Event Notifier 2.0 for the meantime.

IIRC system ui extensions is not compatible with this...

For example I want Wazapp to show in the list of LED events with a switch toggle.
Parameter is [wazapp.message.new] with PatternCommunication

What I really want after this is somebody making UI for pattern making.
Rules are simple and in mce file.

It's not that simple . Firstly, we should add support for wazapp notifications in unrestricted-systemui. Then we may add a new switch in the control panel applet.
In free time I'll update the LED applet, create a patch for unrestricted-systemui and poke MAG to update those packages in his repo .

MAG is busy with personal life, already talked...
That's why I approached you instead.

If you need any additional info, ping me.

I have no idea if it works - I don't use Wazapp - but here it goes:
* the latest system-ui from MAG + Wazapp notifications support: http://meegoforum.pl//download/syste...+0m8_armel.deb
* updated led applet: http://meegoforum.pl//download/duico....3-1_armel.deb
* additional languages (CN and PL): http://meegoforum.pl//download/duico....0.3-1_all.deb

Any feedback is welcomed .
