Hi

I am owner of Nokia N900, and I really like this phone
What I was wondering (WWW ):
- what is camera quality on N950 (so far, I have found only for N9, none for N950) - if possible some links to pictures
- I read somewhere that N950 is much more prone to damaging (especially screen, like one drop and it stops working), is it true?
- how much is usable hardware keyboard?
- is N950 good for daily use?
- I read somewhere that it have troubles with WIFI, is it true?
- how much is heavy N950 (eg. comparing to N900)
- what is call quality (on N900 sound was clear, but not so loud - in open, I couldn't talk normally)

So far, N9 have NFC chip (which is not so important to me) and better (and slightly smaller) display, so how big difference is?

I know the specs of both phones, but I can't find much reviews about N950.
If possible, someone who have (or have experienced) both devices could answer me those questions.

Thanks in forward
Drax

the reason why there is little to no information around for the N950 is that it has never been distributed commercially (i.e. sold officially by NOKIA)
it has only been lent to developers (usually for free but under very restrictive terms).

some partner companies that developed or wanted to develop software for N9 also got come devices.
as they are not linked to a particular person, some of those devices are more likely to appear on eBay or the like after such companies may have gone out of business.
the prices are usually very hight (GBP 1500+ achieved at auctions)

long story short: it is very unlikely that you will be able to get one.

I am 2nd runner of Maemo Coding Competition 2012
Game is Crosswords in case that you are interested, and it took 3rd place.
So I have chances to get N950 as prize and I would like to know those details if possible (just in case if I get in position to choose between N9 and N950).

I've used both, as a phone N9 is better, as a collectors item, N950 isn't bad.

Thanks.
Can you tell me does N950 have some hardware flaws (like call/wifi sudden drops, random reboot etc.)?

I am asking this because I plan to use it as phone for every day.

Horrible cellular reception compared to N9.

Much, much worse than the N900.

IMHO, the hardware is more fragile. I've dropped mine once with no issue. I've stopped using it daily, for fear of damage. It's now a collector's item.

Not very usable. Larger footprint and wider spacing makes it less comfortable to use.

Feels the same in hand, feels the same in pocket, except for thickness.

On-par.

The N9 is a far better device for daily use, but you'll be one of a few hundred hand-picked persons with an N950

Actually I found N950's display isn't too bad compared with N9 - it doesn't have pentile display so it is not so "pixel".

Also the camera is not too bad, compare with N900, only disadvantage is the lack of HW camera key.

It's much thinner than N900, and one-hand-friendly.

Poor celluar and wifi reception, I don't have N9, but compared with N900 it's much poorer.
