Hello, I'm a newbye here and I have just buyed a nokia n900 and I'm surprised because I cannot acces some important website:
Impossible to login to ebay; no error message; cookies are on;
impossible to access to the following sites: www.igv.cnr.it (joomla site), http://Taz.blog.excite.it a blog hosted for free on excite;
How to fix please?
I guess a possible solution would be to use some other browsers, may list me some please?

Bye.

I just logged in and signed in to ebay.com without a hitch on my n900. I was also able to access your other two sites easily on my n900.

I get the following: "the requested page cannot be displayed." for those two sites. And neither login nor error message when I try to login to my ebay account.

I have updated to the last maemo firmware and I have all cookied on.
I used the installed maemo browser, you?

May you tell me if you have some specific settings about browsing please? I bought my nokia n900 from ebay.com from a USA user.

I'm an italian user. Thank you.

works for me, after a few tries. it seems ebay tries to redirect the N900's browser to a non-existent page during login, resulting in an error message, but it's succesfully logged in afterwards.

this site seems to redirect based on the User-Agent of the browser. with the N900, it tries to redirect to site.igv.cnr.it/xampp, which requires authentication. if you enter the url with /home directly (http://site.igv.cnr.it/home/), it works. at least on mine.

http://Taz.blog.excite.it a blog hosted for free on excite;
no problems here, clicked on it in the N900's browser and it worked right away.

Tried again and no log in. I tried many times to reload the page and to login.

With your advice I can access that site now.

Same access issue for the: http://Taz.blog.excite.it.

maybe you rejected some of the cookies from ebay earlier? they set a lot of cookies during login, maybe you rejected one of those domains' cookies on a different site?

you could try to clear all your private data from the browser and then log in again.

as i said, that site works for me without problem.

did you install anything on your N900, browser plugins etc? adblock plus maybe?

The N900 knows what you're up to and doesn't want to end up on eBay!!
