MediaInfo supplies technical and tag information about a video or audio file.
http://mediainfo.sourceforge.net/en

I'm using this on my desktop PC and find it really good.
It's now packaged for our devices.

Only the CLI tool is included.

Grab it here

Uhhh, is there a .deb or something? I cannot seem to find anything...except for the windoze package.

Thank you for creating another neat tool for us.

For the last couple of hours I've been getting the following error from your repository, so haven't tried MediaInfo out:

Reading package lists... Error!
E: Problem parsing dependency Depends
E: Error occurred while processing mediainfo (NewVersion1)
E: Problem with MergeList /var/lib/apt/lists/debfarm.free.fr_dists_chinook_user_binary-armel_Packages
E: The package lists or status file could not be parsed or opened.

Argg dpkg doesn't like empty depends line.

Corrected.
Installs fine.

There is Linux WxWidgets/GTK GUI too, here:
http://sourceforge.net/project/showf...ckage_id=90341
look for MediaInfo_x.x.x.x_GUI_Linux_FromSource.tar.bz2 (i386 or x64 builds are available too)
But it is in a early stage, status=alpha .

There is currently a .deb only for 0.7.5.7 version, not 0.7.5.8 (I upload a newer version as soon as someone send me a package.)

Linux version of MediaInfo is not yet in well-made packages, but it will come

Hi Zenitram
I'll give you the tiny modification (#ifdef __ARMEL__ related to fmodm like for MONTAVISTA) needed for building and also the binary armel deb if you want. I think you only have x86 deb versions.

My work colleague was in contact with you (Germany but I don't want to name him), he told me of this software and adviced me to try it.

Thanks for mediainfo and for taking the time to register here.

Salut!

The SVN is updated for being compatible with Armel (Montavista was on a ARM CPU too, I don't worry about compatibility or crashes, it was tested on 10000+ files on this CPU ).
Will be available in the next release "out of the box" .

Do not hesitate to send me bug report or feature request.
