@mosen: nearby icons are in the code now, come out with the next release.

re opacity: maybe we should just edit SVGs in emacs/[or any other editor]? which icons do we talk about?

Just WOW.

I need to admit I tested PureMaps after some time/versions.
And I have to say: wow!
Incredible what you and otsalooma have made here!!!

I followed but do not really what icons are in the latest release, so here some subjective findings:
- the 'center on current position' on map and in menu look too different
I really like the simplified icons in menu and maybe a simplified one looking more similar to the one on map is possible (@mosen/fellfrosch)?
- the menu icons for online and mixed are clear to see but the one for offline looks dimmed (maybe I just voted for a new set one post above?)

I was a bit surprised about the new(?) SFOS pulley markers and more surprised that closing the top one also stops the current navigation. Is this on purpose? Did I miss something?

That's what I call a early adopter

And yes you are right. PureMaps is a Masterpiece of the Sailfish Ecosystem. Even so we can't complain about missing high quality Navigation apps. There are also OSM Scout and modrana which are also really great software!

But yes, showing PureMaps to some Android users make them pale with envy.

regarding online/offline icons, i would vote for row three, but would also support the opinion of @olf and peterleinchen.
And I think I don't have to make further suggestions, because @mosen's icons are again very good! That's nice because I miss some time at the moment.

(skipping icon questions since we have more qualified people to reply)

yes, that's intended feature and was there for some time. it allows you to dismiss navigation and route faster (but not always conveniently). its a great example of a case when the feature was not discoverable as it was, but small rectangles made a huge difference.

@rinigus
While reviewing the german translation i found an error in String 119 english source. It says "Text to speach".
No idea how to edit source language.
