Hello, all! Newbie here!

I got an N9 this weekend and have promptly installed Ubiboot and postmarketOS on it. I'm in love with the possibilities.

If someone has some experience with the N9 drivers or postmarketOS or has info that can help me improve the port, feel free to nudge me! I'm currently looking through what is worth working on.

Cheers!

Hi everyone!

I've been interested in this community for a while but didn't have a TMO account until now.

Anyway, I own a Fxtec Pro1, a N900 and 3 PinePhones and currently using the Pro1 as a PDA.

Cheers!

Yep! These are:
  • Dev Phone v1.0: used to be for development, but got the UBports one. I plan to give this away to my friend for appdev.
  • UBports v1.2: main phone for development
  • postmarketOS 3GB v1.2a: unused, currently keeping it in my closet

In case you'll sell any of them please let me know. I am willing to give it a try on development

Unfortunately, I don't sell any of my devices.

If you scour around eBay, you may find a very good deal. I recommend postmarketOS or later edition devices as USB-C is fixed on these allowing you to plug in external devices.

At about $150 for a 2gb RAM/16gb EMMC Pinephone(out of stock until sept) is is almost a cheap as I have been seeing used N900s anymore. The 3/32GB version which includes a USB/HDMI/ethernet dock is $200. So not that expensive but it is important to note that even Mobian(Debian Mobile) is still pretty beta version but progressing. It is only a hacker phone for now like the Nokia 770 was perhaps rougher as it is a community built OS working towards Debian grade reliability. I will not assume your personal economics but it is a pretty good deal for hyper-custom hardware, just remember right now it is all super alpha/beta not a consumer commodity product. I am still using my N900 for everyday stuff like phone calls and audio books.

Apparently, that's possible with GPIO pins on the back. Right now I'm hyped for the official clamshell keyboard as I can add the phone into my PDA list (and bring it out to the sun).

Still pre-release though, I hope they are adding the i2c multiplexer so we can cram more stuff inside it.
