This is just a brief announcement.
The first "official" SailfishOS version of MeePasswords is ready.

Actually, it is already ready since some days and I also submitted it to Harbour.
However, as I had to fix some issues and we have holidays right now it didn't make it successfully through the review process yet.

Still, you can get the SailfishOS version here:
http://ruedigergad.github.io/meepass...-1.armv7hl.rpm

I hope you like it.
Attached, you find some screenshots.
Feedback is always appreciated.

PS: When in doubt what to do, try to use the swipe, left or right.

Edit:
MeePasswords is now also available via OpenRepos:

Very nice addition. No more note encryption. Thanks!

Just some feedback:

IMHO to make it more sailfishui like:

* get rid of copy buttons no point there is a clipboard icon in VKB top
* get rid of some buttons and use "swipe to accept/cancel" instead also use vkb enter key as accept/ok where it works instead of ok button

Thanks a lot!
I use keepassx with a lot of stored passwords. Do you plan to add some kind of secure import option?

Essentially, many things I'd post here are identical to what I wrote in my reply in the Q To-Do thread:
http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p...53&postcount=4

I hope you don't mind and understand that I also have other apps I want to port first and also have lots of other things to do.
So, I cannot make any concrete promises about when I will find the time to improve the UI.

With respect to keepassx import:
There is a keepassx import/export functionality.
However, it only works with unencrypted XML files in the keepassx XML format.
To use this, the easiest way would be to use the Desktop versions to import the data there and then to sync the file to the phone (or even copy it via SSH, in case you don't have an e-mail account with IMAP support).
You can find download links to the desktop versions on the MeePasswords homepage that is linked to in my signature.
If you have further questions just let me know.

The passwords database file for version 2.0+ in Meego is located in /home/user/.local/share/data/ruedigergad.com/meepasswords/encrypted.raw. Copy this file, transfer it to your jolla/sailfish and put it in /home/nemo/.MeePasswords_DefaultStorage/. Like that you don't need to pass through a mail sync.

MeePasswords for SailfishOS can now also be downloaded from OpenRepos:
https://openrepos.net/content/ruedigergad/meepasswords
I hope that eases the installation at least a little as long as I cannot publish it via Harbour.
I also updated the first post and the website.

Thank you for another native app!

Can I use my database from Password Safe (pwsafe on N900) with this app? This database is also compatible with Password Gorilla on Mac/Win/Linux.

Hey wonko, thanks for porting it to Sailfish.

I already commented with some glitches, UI and UX shortcomings on openrepos but thought it might be better off here!

I am suggesting:

The starting page should have the password field highlighted per default, would save another tap.

The item pull needs a very long pull to actually turn the page. Either make it shorter or have the item trigger its page.

You could make use of the app-settings (Settings -> Apps -> MeePasswords) in settings for: lock-timeout, sync-settings, etc and link or tell on the about page.

The page-end is some kind of wrong, I can scroll entry-pages and sync-account-settings much further than there is something to read.

Available Accounts in sync-account-settings font is to big and the scrollable list in a small box is irritating. Make use of the chooser buttons and get the items out of that box, please.

Sync Account Settings uses a blank white BG instead of the corned glass BG from system.

Please get rid of the buttons in entry-pages (<, Edit, Save), sync-settings (Cancel, Ok).
