Then build a machine specifically for that is readily available with proper drivers instead of waiting on folks to figure out, then repurpose an existing machine where you'll not be able to use all of its functions as-is.

There's a plethora of devices that do that already. Like homebrew? Cool. There's a dozen machines that can be built, bought or sourced that have absolutely zero driver compatibility or usability issues.
