Everyone should write a story about how they met the N900.

I didn't have a decent phone in years and the best phone I had was the E52.
It got stolen.
I had a K750 before and Nokia 1700 after the E52.

And last March, 10th I beleive, I got my birthday present.
My bday was on the 16th.

Up to that day my only knowledge of the N900 was seeing the N810 a few times on the internet.

I discovered that it wasn't a phone so I thought I would get a N810.
And that was after my mom told me that the device is brownish-black in appearance.
I thought before that, that I would get a Nokia E7.
And a year before that, my fav phone was the Nokia C6.

Back to the story.

Upon arrival of my first ever proper phone that I am using right now to type these words, I was amazed.
A phone so beautiful, no other could compete with it!
I even found the headphones amazing.

And some time after getting it, I learned quite a bit.
Alas, I joined TMO next month.
I learned how to reflash and install NitDroid and I enjoyed it pretty much.
Next month the problems started.
My N900 struggled to charge.
Next two months were sad, first, I had to adjust my N900 to charge properly and in a few months the usb snapped off.
I almost fell on the floor.
But I managed to find a wall charger that I still use, a chinese one.

Moving on to March 2013.
When I was going to school in my parents car, ty were driving ofc , my N900 suddenly shut down.
I didn't bring it to life for two months.
Even a phone shop told me it was the motherboard dead.
I almost sold it for spare parts for some measly cash but respected enough to not do so.
In May, 28th, something big happened.
I got to turn on my N900.
Upon applying some pressure on top of the screen so that the screen and keyboard are touching, I turned on my N900.
And I thought it was the flex ribbon causing the trouble.
So I didn't use my N900 again outside my house or outside hill etc.
It was unreliable.
And upon posting a drawing to Look What I Drew On My Phone, I complained about this and how I wasnmt abl to draw for long because i typed onkeyboard the N900 wuld be sensitive and w shut down
Estel simply responded and said that l should tighten the battery pins.
So I did and here I am again with a fully funcctioning N900 apart from the usb port.
Cheers!

Hi everyone!

Back to the roots...

i bought the N900 in early 2011 and it was my only phone for 1 1/2 years. The only other interesting phone was N97. But what a luck i've choosed the N900.

Because of needs for my job I then bought an android phone. ugly android... i had three android phones and none of them where so awesome like the N900.

Last saturday I took my N900 out of the box. I flashed it and i've done so many things with it. It was so awesome!
- Flashing
- Kernel Power
- CSSU
- TMO
All at its Best.

Phone is like a journey to space...

Let's hope some angry employees leave Micronokia, steals the maemo source and gives it to me so I can leak it. Why don't they release it now? That would be excellent news for the n900 celebration week

For the first time I'd have to say that is great Dave! We already have symbian in our hand, maybe we can have a secret deal to get the whole maemo sources and perhaps even meego. Over the top!

We should try sharing some of the greatest mods of all time that should be done to the n900. I personally am in love with the full usb on the N900, which I haven't been able to attempt but just stare at it from pictures.

The first day's ritual already had the effect on Nokia.
I wonder what would happen when the 7th day passed...
