hi scorpius, I don't know if this question is already asked before.
I just change my sim card, yappari ask for registration my new number.
Before I continue the process, I made a back up yappari configuration first at /home/user/.config/scorpius/yappari.conf.bak

and then I continue to register and my new number successfully registered.

So, now I have 2 yappari configurations files, first is the one is used by yappari, and second is the back up.

My question is, is it ok to change configuration file anytime after I close yappari?
So I still can use all my numbers but not at same time.

Or will whatsapp block one or all my numbers?

That would be ok. But remember: you can't use any of those numbers in other device unless you won't use them anymore in Yappari, and also you can't run two instances of Yappari with each number.

I see..
I think this would be an interesting yappari's feature that I didn't get from the official whatsapp.
I just got back from another country, and I bought a sim card from there.
With this trick, I can still able to use that number for whatsapp anytime I want, even I didn't use the number actually.

I don't have another phone and currently don't have plan to change a phone.
This trick will be very useful.

What about putting network read/write functions in separate threads than GUI?

Yeah that would be the solution, but I think that means to discard almost everything and write Yappari from scratch.

Question: I would like to save a whole thread of a chat. How can I do this?

* There is no general feature implemented in Yapari to handle this request, as I understand. There is a single "copy" option for each single part of a thread only (which would take a very long time to make a backup of a large thread)

* Where are the threads stored on the file system? How could I make a backup on the console?

You would need to know a little bit about SQL and install sqlite3 and load the dblog file into sqlite3 and write some queries there to extract what you want, totally out of the scope of this thread.

Log files are stored in /home/user/.yappari/logs

Hello Scorpius,
could you please upload Yappari 1.0.38 again?
I want to get rid of the damned Push-to-Talk button
